Stetson Men’s Golf Travels South For West Bay Collegiate

DeLAND, Fla. – The Stetson University men's golf team heads to familiar territory next week when it travels to Estero, Fla., for the West Bay Collegiate Monday and Tuesday at West Bay Club.

The Hatters are part of a competitive 12-team field featuring Coastal Carolina, DePaul, Eastern Michigan, Elon, Florida Atlantic, host FGCU, George Mason, Jacksonville, Middle Tennessee State, UCF and South Florida. Live event results will be available throughout the tournament by clicking here.

Each participating team will compete with five golfers with the lowest four scores from each round counting toward the team total.  The tournament begins Monday at 8:30 a.m. with 36 holes of play, followed by the final 18-hole round on Tuesday at 9 a.m.

Stetson's lineup will include Gaspar Glaudas, Rasmus Ronnberg, Matthis Lefèvre, Gabriel Lindahl, and Simon Engman. Freshman Thanattasorn Supinraj is set to make his collegiate debut, competing as an individual, along with sophomore James McNair. Their scores will not factor into the team standings.

The West Bay Club course measures 6,939 yards and plays to a par of 72. Originally designed by Pete and P.B. Dye and renovated by Fry-Straka in 2018, the layout blends strategic challenges with the natural beauty of Southwest Florida's wetlands and preserves. The course, which carries a 73.6 rating and 139 slope from the back tees, is known for its expansive greens, thoughtful design, and environmental stewardship.

This marks Stetson's third event of the fall season, following appearances at the Whirlwind Collegiate Invitational in Chandler, Ariz., and the William H. Tucker Invitational in Albuquerque, N.M. Glaudas, a senior from Sainte Tulle, France, owns a team-low 70.7 scoring average in his first six rounds of the fall season and has paced the Hatters in both tournaments.

Arkansas transfer Lefèver, who shared the team individual lead in New Mexico, and averages 71.0 strokes per round, followed closely by Ronnberg.  Five different Hatters have carded rounds of 70 or better in the team's first two events.

The Hatters continue their busy October schedule at the Furman Intercollegiate in Greenville, S.C., Oct. 18-19, before wrapping up the fall slate at the Florida Atlantic Invitational Oct. 27-28.
