ESTERO, Fla. – Stetson senior transfer Matthis Lefèvre fired a 10-under par 134 and is tied for third place individually, while the Hatters are in third as a team after 36 holes at the West Bay Collegiate at West Bay Club.
As a team, the Hatters finished today's first two rounds of the 3-round event with an 18-under par 558 and are just two strokes behind second place George Mason and 12 shots back of host FCGU. Eastern Michigan is in fourth at 16-under, while Elon is fifth at 15-under par. The 12-team field returns for tomorrow's final round with an 8:30 a.m. shotgun start at the 6,939-yard, par 72 West Bay Club.

Lefèvre, a University of Arkansas transfer from Hossegor, France, carded consecutive rounds of 5-under par 67 and is tied with Eastern Michigan's Charlie Box in the individual standings. The duo are just one shot behind co-leaders Vaughn McMeans of George Mason and Tom Scullion of FGCU.
He is one of four Hatters to finish the day with an under-par score and finished the first 36 holes with just one bogey and one double bogey. He registered 12 birdies and, in the morning's first round, carded a dramatic eagle on the par 5, 502-yard sixth hole – his 18
th and final hole of the round.
Gabriel Lindahl (72-70),
Simon Engman (71-71) and
Thanattasorn Supinraj (72-70), a freshman making his collegiate debut and playing as an individual, are among nine golfers tied for 20
th place on the leaderboard at 2-under par.
Gaspar Glaudas finished the day at 2-over par. The Sainte Tulle, France native started the day with a 2-under 70 but found the afternoon's round tough going, carding a 76.
Rasmus Ronnberg is tied for 54
th place overall in the 71-golfer field at 6-over par.
James McNair, who is joining Supinraj in the field as an individual, is tied for 62
nd overall at 8-over.
As a team, Stetson led the field with a stellar 5-under par throughout the par 3 holes on the course. The Hatters averaged a 2.88 on par 3 holes, led by the tournament's two best from that distance in Lefèvre (-4) and Engman (-3). Lefèvre also led the field in par 5 scoring at 7-under par.
Following the West Bay Collegiate, the Hatters continue their busy October schedule at the Furman Intercollegiate in Greenville, S.C., Oct. 18-19, before wrapping up the fall slate at the Florida Atlantic Invitational Oct. 27-28.
