Hatters Drop Season Opener 2-0 to Penn State

STATE COLLEGE, Pa.– Stetson men's soccer dropped its season opener Thursday night, falling 2-0 to Penn State at Jeffrey Field.

The Nittany Lions pressed the Hatters throughout the match, finishing with a 17-4 advantage in total shots and placing seven attempts on target. Stetson was unable to register a shot on goal.

Penn State struck once in each half to secure the victory. Graduate goalkeeper Nicolo Radaelli kept the Hatters within reach, collecting five saves in his first start of the season.

Stetson will return to action on Sunday, August 24, traveling to Charlottesville for a 7 p.m. kickoff against Virginia.
