Hatters Partner with Vet Tix to Provide Tickets to Veterans, Military Personnel, First Responders and Their Families

DeLAND, Fla. – Stetson University Athletics has announced renewal of its relationship with the Veteran Tickets Foundation (Vet Tix) and 1st Tix, both of which provide complimentary tickets to Hatter Baseball, Football, Men's and Women's Basketball and Softball home events during the 2025-26 season.

The initiative supports and honors the nation's veterans, active military members, first responders, and their families by providing access to live Hatter sporting events. Stetson Athletics first became involved with Vet Tix in 2015.

"There are more than 35,000 Vet Tix recipients within close proximity to Stetson University," said Ricky Ray, Stetson's Director of Athletics. "Through this program, we are proud to support the university's values and to honor the service and sacrifices of the brave men and women in our country's military."

In addition to tickets provided through Vet Tix, Stetson Athletics conducts annual military-themed recognitions for most of its ticketed sports. On Nov. 22, the department will honor military members at both its football game against the University of San Diego and its men's basketball game that evening against Virginia Military Institute.

Eligible individuals can request free tickets through Vet Tix at www.VetTix.org or 1st Tix at www.1stTix.org. To claim tickets, users must create or log in to an account on the respective platform. First-time users can begin registration at vettix.org/signup_start.php. Account setup requires verification through ID.me and confirmation of service or affiliation.

Since 2008, Vet Tix has distributed more than 31 million tickets to veterans, active service members, and families of fallen heroes through its Tickets for Troops program. Vet Tix and 1st Tix provide access to a wide range of events—including sports, concerts, and the performing arts—aiming to strengthen family bonds, reduce stress, and build community.

Vet Tix is a national 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization founded by veterans. Its mission is to give back to those who gave by offering free event tickets to enrich lives and create lasting memories. 1st Tix operates under the same mission, serving first responders.
