FLORENCE, Ala. — Stetson Women's Basketball closed the game on a 21-13 fourth-quarter run Thursday night to earn a 66-62 road win over North Alabama at CB&S Bank Arena at Flowers Hall.
The Hatters (12-8, 5-4 ASUN) knocked down nine three-pointers and used timely defense down the stretch to secure the comeback victory after trailing 49-45 entering the final quarter.
Stetson jumped out early with a 5-0 run, capped by a Cameron Thomas three-pointer, but North Alabama answered to take an 18-13 lead after one.
The Lions extended their advantage early in the second quarter before the Hatters responded with a 6-0 run to tie the game at 24, highlighted by a three from Jorah Eppley. North Alabama regained control before halftime, taking a 34-29 lead into the break.
Stetson continued to chip away in the third quarter, trimming the deficit to four behind balanced scoring and strong play around the basket, but still trailed 49-45 entering the final 10 minutes.
The Hatters delivered their best stretch in the fourth, outscoring the Lions 21-13 to flip the game. Stetson grabbed the lead in the final minutes and held on down the stretch to complete the 66-62 comeback.
Stetson continues its road swing on Saturday, Jan. 31, traveling to Central Arkansas for a 1:00 p.m. ASUN matchup at the Farris Center in Conway, Arkansas.
