Eugene, OR – Stetson softball heads west this weekend for the Oregon Classic, where the Hatters will face No. 14 Oregon, Samford, and Idaho State from Friday, Feb. 27 through Sunday, March 1.
Stetson enters the weekend at 12–3, its best start since 2017.
Nicole Edmiaston continues to power the Hatters' offense and was named ASUN Player of the Week after batting .647 with a .727 on-base percentage and a 1.176 slugging percentage across six games last week. She recorded 11 hits in 17 at-bats, including three home runs, drew five walks, and drove in 10 runs.
On the season, Edmiaston has totaled 28 hits, including three doubles and seven home runs, while driving in 29 runs. She owns a .596 batting average, .649 on-base percentage, 1.106 slugging percentage, and a 1.755 OPS. Nationally, she ranks fifth in batting average, third in hits, third in RBIs, sixth in on-base percentage, ninth in total bases, and sits among the top 20 in home runs and slugging percentage.
Irianis Garcia ranks second on the team with 19 hits, including three doubles, a triple, and four home runs. She currently ranks third nationally in assists and seventh in assists per game, while also sitting inside the top 30 in runs scored.
As a team, Stetson is batting .341 with a .426 on-base percentage, totaling 139 hits, 57 walks, and 106 RBIs through 15 games.

Ava Braswell improved to 6–1 after earning two wins last weekend. She has thrown 45.1 innings with a 1.85 ERA and 20 strikeouts.

Kennedy Temples are both 3–1 on the season, combining for over 50 innings pitched with 31 strikeouts while allowing 29 earned runs.
No. 14 Oregon enters the weekend at 8–6. Ayanna Shaw leads the Ducks with 18 hits and a .486 batting average, while Kaylynn Jones is tied for the team lead with 18 hits. Oregon is batting .292 as a team with a .379 on-base percentage, 107 hits, and 61 RBIs. In the circle, Lyndsey Grein is 4–3 with a 2.38 ERA across nine appearances, tossing 31.1 innings.
Samford comes in at 6–9 following a 2–2 weekend that included two wins over Delaware State and losses to Belmont and No. 14 Mississippi State. Brandy Phillips leads the Bulldogs with 15 hits, including three home runs, while Katie Campbell holds the team lead with six home runs. Samford is hitting .269 as a team with 97 hits, 38 walks, and 63 RBIs. Makinley Turner has logged a team-high 37.2 innings in the circle, allowing 13 earned runs with 33 strikeouts.
Idaho State enters at 8–7 after a 3–2 showing at the UNLV Rebel Classic. Jenna Kearns leads the Bengals with 16 hits, including four doubles, two triples, and a home run. Ava Brown leads the team with six home runs and 19 RBIs. Idaho State is batting .313 with 83 hits and 74 RBIs. In the circle, Kasey Aguinaga is 5–0 with a 3.20 ERA, allowing 14 runs while striking out 12.
This weekend marks the first-ever meetings between Stetson and both Oregon and Idaho State. The Hatters and Samford will meet for the 25th time, with the all-time series tied 12–12.
