Orlando, Fla. — Stetson Hatters softball hits the road for a midweek matchup against No. 22 UCF Knights softball on Wednesday, April 14, with first pitch set for 6 p.m.
The Hatters continue to gain national recognition, checking in at No. 19 in the D1 Softball Mid-Major Poll and No. 22 in the Softball America Mid-Major Rankings.
Stetson enters the week with a 26–17 overall record and an 11–4 mark in ASUN play. Despite dropping two games at North Florida, the Hatters secured the season series with a win on Sunday and remain tied with Jacksonville atop the Graphite Division standings.
Nicole Edmiaston continues to pace the offense, batting .460 with a .540 on-base percentage and a 1.508 OPS. She has recorded 58 hits, including seven doubles and 19 home runs, while driving in 58 RBIs. Edmiaston is now just one home run shy of tying the program's single-season record.
Irianis Garcia remains a key contributor at the plate, batting .372 with a .466 on-base percentage and a 1.116 OPS. She ranks second on the team with 50 hits, including eight doubles, a triple, and nine home runs, and continues to be a defensive standout, ranking second nationally in assists.
Amber Chumley is hitting .323 with five home runs and 21 RBIs, while Gabby David and Logan Forman have provided a boost in production. David is batting .346 with 36 hits, including five home runs and 28 RBIs, while Forman ranks second on the team with 12 home runs and 33 RBIs.
As a team, Stetson is batting .316 with a .410 on-base percentage, totaling 344 hits, including 54 doubles and a program-record 63 home runs, along with 159 walks and 257 RBIs.
In the circle, Ava Braswell owns a 13–8 record with a 3.15 ERA across 111.0 innings, while Hayley Arnold has posted a 4.36 ERA over 61.0 innings.
UCF enters the contest with a 31-11-1 overall record and a 10–7-1 mark in conference play. Sierra Humphreys leads the Knights with 49 hits, including 13 doubles and 11 home runs, while driving in 48 RBIs and batting .395 with a .473 on-base percentage. Beth Damon and Kendall Yarnell add power to the lineup, each with 12 home runs and a .358 batting average.
As a team, UCF is batting .328 with a .429 on-base percentage, totaling 363 hits, including 68 doubles, 10 triples, and 57 home runs, along with 275 RBIs.
In the circle, Isabella Vega leads the Knights with a 15–5 record across 29 appearances, including nine complete games. She has posted a 2.24 ERA over 112.2 innings with a 1.15 WHIP and a .190 opponent batting average.
Wednesday's matchup marks the 32nd all-time meeting between the two programs.
