Hatters Return Home to Host West Georgia

DeLand, Fla. — Stetson softball returns to Patricia Wilson Field this weekend to host West Georgia in an ASUN series beginning Saturday, April 18. First pitch is scheduled for 1:00 p.m. Saturday will also feature Little League Day, with the second set of 2026 Stetson Softball trading cards available for fans.

The Hatters continue to earn national recognition, checking in at No. 19 in the D1 Softball Mid-Major Poll and No. 22 in the Softball America Mid-Major Rankings.

Stetson enters the weekend with a 26–18 overall record and an 11–4 mark in ASUN play. The Hatters are coming off a midweek matchup against No. 20 UCF, where they dropped a close 5–3 decision despite outhitting the Knights.

Nicole Edmiaston continues to lead the Stetson offense, batting .461 with a .545 on-base percentage and a 1.506 OPS. She has totaled 59 hits, including seven doubles and 19 home runs, while driving in 58 RBIs. Edmiaston is now just one home run shy of tying the program's single-season record.

Irianis Garcia remains a key contributor, hitting .383 with a .473 on-base percentage and a 1.125 OPS. She ranks second on the team with 54 hits, including nine doubles, a triple, and nine home runs, and continues to shine defensively, ranking first nationally in assists.

Amber Chumley is batting .320 with five home runs and 23 RBIs, while Gabby David and Logan Forman have provided added production. David is hitting .346 with 37 hits, including five home runs and 29 RBIs, while Forman ranks second on the team with 12 home runs and 33 RBIs.

As a team, Stetson is batting .316 with a .410 on-base percentage, totaling 371 hits, including 57 doubles and a program-record 63 home runs, along with 162 walks and 260 RBIs.

In the circle, Ava Braswell holds a 13–9 record with a 3.19 ERA across 114.0 innings, while Hayley Arnold owns a 4.22 ERA over 63.0 innings of work.

West Georgia enters the weekend with a 13–32 overall record and a 5–10 mark in ASUN play. Jenna Samuel leads the Wolves with 50 hits, including 10 doubles and nine home runs, while batting .394 with a .483 on-base percentage and driving in 36 RBIs. Ella Oswalt has also contributed offensively with 31 hits, including 10 doubles, a triple, and seven home runs, along with 22 RBIs.

As a team, West Georgia is batting .226 with a .311 on-base percentage, totaling 253 hits, including 45 doubles, five triples, and 32 home runs, along with 157 RBIs.

In the circle, Cacie Cutright leads the Wolves with a 4–9 record and a 5.14 ERA across 92.2 innings, posting a 2.12 WHIP and a .317 opponent batting average. Calli Hardison has logged 78.0 innings with a 5.56 ERA and a 1.74 WHIP.

Saturday's matchup marks the seventh all-time meeting between the two programs, with the Hatters holding a 6–1 series advantage. Stetson swept West Georgia earlier this season in Carrollton.
