Hatters Return Home to Host Queens

DeLAND, Fla. — Stetson women's lacrosse returns home Saturday to host Queens for First Responders Day. Opening draw is set for 12:00 p.m.

Lexi Bird leads the Hatters offensively with 17 goals and 16 assists for 33 points on the season. She is coming off a strong performance at Delaware, recording a hat trick and two assists while scoring on all three of her shots. Ryley Heilmann ranks second on the team with 14 goals and two assists and leads the Hatters with 28 draw controls. Kathleen Nichols also sits in double figures with 13 goals, including the game-winning overtime score against Liberty.

As a team, Stetson has recorded 173 shots, including 140 on goal, and has converted 139-of-192 clear attempts. The Hatters have collected 127 ground balls, won 103 draw controls, and caused 42 turnovers. Stetson enters the matchup with a .462 shooting percentage, a .809 shots-on-goal percentage, and a .463 free-position percentage.

In goal, Maddie Eckert has earned both conference wins for the Hatters while totaling 107 saves on the season. She has faced 342 shots and holds a .431 save percentage.

Queens enters the weekend with a 2-9 overall record and a 2-2 mark in conference play, most recently earning a 13-9 win over Lindenwood. Kayleen Favreau leads the Royals with 31 goals and 16 assists for 47 points, along with a .720 shots-on-goal percentage. Isabella Swanson has added 11 goals and nine assists while leading the team with 32 draw controls.

As a team, Queens has scored 108 goals on 273 shots, including 202 on target, for a .396 shooting percentage and a .740 shots-on-goal percentage. The Royals have also totaled 166 ground balls, 111 draw controls, and 88 caused turnovers. In goal, Gianna Coburn has made 61 saves on 211 shots faced for a .379 save percentage.

Saturday's matchup marks the fourth meeting between the two programs.
