DeLand, Fla. — Stetson softball returns to Patricia Wilson Field this weekend to host FGCU in its final regular-season series, beginning Friday, May 1. First pitch is set for 3:00 p.m. Friday will feature a Green Out with a T-shirt giveaway, while Saturday marks Senior Day, with the third set of 2026 Stetson Softball trading cards available for fans.
The Hatters continue to earn national recognition, checking in at No. 16 in the Softball America Mid-Major Rankings and No. 17 in the D1 Softball Mid-Major Poll.
Stetson enters the weekend with a 31–19 overall record and a 16–5 mark in ASUN play. The Hatters are coming off a series win at Jacksonville, rebounding from a game-one loss with back-to-back victories.
Nicole Edmiaston continues to pace the Stetson offense, batting .462 with a .564 on-base percentage and a 1.536 OPS. She has recorded 66 hits, including seven doubles and 22 home runs, while driving in 66 RBIs and drawing 33 walks. Last weekend, Edmiaston broke both the program's single-season home run and RBI records and was ranked No. 7 in Softball America's First Base Rankings earlier this week.
Irianis Garcia remains a key contributor, hitting .370 with a .464 on-base percentage and a 1.112 OPS. She ranks second on the team with 60 hits, including 10 doubles, a triple, and 11 home runs, and continues to stand out defensively, leading the nation in assists.
Amber Chumley is batting .319 with five home runs and 24 RBIs, while Gabby David and Logan Forman continue to provide depth in the lineup. David is hitting .339 with 40 hits, including five home runs and 29 RBIs, while Forman ranks second on the team with 13 home runs and has driven in 36 runs.
As a team, Stetson is batting .314 with a .412 on-base percentage, totaling 420 hits, including 65 doubles and a program-record 72 home runs, along with 191 walks and 295 RBIs.
In the circle, Ava Braswell holds a 16–10 record with a 3.03 ERA across 136.1 innings, while Hayley Arnold has logged 76.0 innings with a 4.14 ERA.
FGCU enters the weekend with a 19–29 overall record and a 13–8 mark in ASUN play. Olivia Black leads the Eagles with 47 hits, batting .329 with a .377 on-base percentage and 19 RBIs. Mackenzie Leiti adds power with a team-high seven home runs, along with eight doubles and 29 RBIs.
As a team, FGCU is hitting .267 with a .349 on-base percentage, totaling 335 hits, including 50 doubles, 10 triples, and 20 home runs, along with 178 RBIs.
In the circle, Grace Taylor leads the Eagles with a 9–9 record and a 3.97 ERA across 118.0 innings, while Julia Bacoulis has logged 104.0 innings with a 4.98 ERA.
Friday's matchup marks the 63rd all-time meeting between the two programs. When the teams met earlier this season, Stetson dropped two of the three games, including one in extra innings.
