DeLAND, Fla. – Former Stetson volleyball standout
Nyah Molina has signed her first professional contract, joining VK Hronov of the Czech Republic's First League.
Molina heads overseas following a decorated five-year career with the Hatters, during which she established herself as one of the most accomplished setters in program history. The Naranjito, Puerto Rico, native finished her Stetson career ranked second in program history with 3,711 assists and second with 1,519 digs.
In her final season in 2025, Molina led the Hatters with 920 assists while adding 414 digs and 49 total blocks. She recorded a season-high 52 assists in a five-set victory over Northern Illinois on Aug. 29 and later posted 43 assists and a career-high 31 digs against Bethune-Cookman, recording the first 40-assist, 30-dig double-double by a Hatter in the rally-scoring era.
During the season, Molina also became just the third player in Stetson history to reach both 3,000 career assists and 1,000 career digs. She earned ASUN Defensive Player of the Week honors in September and concluded her career tied for fifth in program history with 120 matches played and third with 455 sets played.
Molina's impact at Stetson began immediately. As a freshman in 2021, she was named the ASUN Freshman of the Year and earned ASUN All-Freshman Team honors after leading the conference and setting a then-school rally-scoring era record with 23 double-doubles. She also set Stetson freshman records for assists and assists per set and finished the season with 394 digs, the program's single-season record by a setter.
She continued as Stetson's primary setter in 2022, starting all 29 matches while recording 792 assists and 338 digs, before producing 884 assists across 29 starts in 2023. Her 2024 season was cut short by injury after five matches, but she returned for a full final campaign in 2025.
Molina now begins her professional career with VK Hronov, which competes in the Czech Republic's First League.
