DELAND, Fla. — Stetson women's soccer continues its homestand Saturday, Sept. 19, when the Hatters welcome Eckerd to the Athletic Training Center for a 1 p.m. matchup as part of Camper Reunion Night.
Scouting the Hatters
Stetson returns home looking to build on the opportunities created throughout the opening weeks of the season as the Hatters continue their four-match homestand.
Clare Boesel has started every match in goal for the Hatters and has made 20 saves, including a career-high nine against No. 4 Florida State. She enters Saturday's matchup with a .556 save percentage and has provided a steady presence in goal throughout the beginning of the season.
Stetson has recorded 33 shots through its first five matches, including a season-high 10 against Troy.
Eva McCoy leads the Hatters with seven shots, followed by
Payton Quinones with six. Quinones has also been Stetson's most accurate attacking option, leading the team with three shots on goal.
Bianca Mazzaferro has been a key fixture on the backline, leading the team with 491 minutes played. Quinones follows closely behind with 488 minutes. As a team, the Hatters are averaging 5.5 shots per game with a .303 shots-on-goal percentage.
Scouting the Opponent
Eckerd enters Saturday's matchup with a 3-1-3 record and is coming off consecutive draws against Embry-Riddle and Florida Southern.
The Tritons are led by Ashley Nelson, who has tallied three goals and an assist on 19 shots this season. Ten of her 19 shots have been on goal, giving her a .526 shots-on-goal percentage, while two of her goals have been game winners. Freija Aflenzer leads the team with three assists and has also added a goal, which was also a game winner. Five other Tritons have scored this season, while four others have recorded assists, spreading the scoring throughout the lineup.
Madi Winn has started all seven matches for Eckerd, making 24 saves while posting five shutouts. Winn carries a 1.00 goals-against average and a .774 save percentage into Saturday's matchup after playing all 630 minutes in goal.

Saturday's matchup will mark the 17th all-time meeting between Stetson and Eckerd. The Hatters hold a 13-3 advantage through the first 16 meetings.
