Atlanta, Ga. -- Stetson picked up its second loss of the Regency Suites Tournament this evening with a 3-0 loss to the jost team, Georgia Tech.  With this loss the Hatters are now 4-9 on the season.

Georgia Tech (7-2) won in straight games, 30-20, 30-24, and 30-28 to put the Yellow Jackets in the championship.

For the second time this tournament, Rebecca Orzechowicz led the way for the Hatters with 12 kills. Gina Iacoona also put up a good showing for the Hatters with 9 kills.

Stetson made a run in the third game and stayed in the game, tying it at 26-26 on a kill by Julie Fleming. The Hatters were able to take the lead briefly but the Yellow Jackets came back, scoring four of the final 5 point to win the match.

Talisa Kellogg had 10 kills on 10 attack attempts and Nikki Kaminskas tied a career-high with 12 kills to lead Georgia Tech. The Yellow Jackets out-hit the Hatters .516-.333 for the match and claimed a 57-44 advantage in kills.

Stetson plays again Tuesday, September 19 at Bethune-Cookman in Daytona Beach.
