Men's Tennis Claims Five ITA Scholar-Athletes

(DeLand, Fla.) ?  The Stetson University men's tennis team landed a school-record five ITA Scholar-Athletes for 2007.

The Scholar-Athlete awards were given to those who put together a year-long cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher.  The Hatters were represented by Trevor Bach, Peter Dzuba, Marcus Echtler, Bret Feldman, and Hicham Laalej.

Laalej, a freshman, was the only one of the group honored for the first time.  Bach, Dzuba, and Echtler each earned the award for the second time, while Feldman was named as an ITA Scholar-Athlete for the third consecutive year.

This is the first time in program history Stetson put five athletes on the list, though four had made it numerous times.
