Stetson opens Atlantic Sun Conference play this weekend when the Hatters visit Howard, 5 p.m., Friday, and Old Dominion, Noon, Sunday.

Stetson (2-7) enters the weekend hoping to snap a four-game losing streak. Howard (0-2) will be playing just its third game of the season on Friday after having multiple contests either canceled or postponed due to weather. The Bison have scored just eight goals in their two matches while allowing a total of 43.

ODU (7-3), in its inaugural season in the A-Sun, has won three of its last four games overall. The Monarchs own the league's No. 2 scoring offense with 122 total goals and rank third with a 10.10 goals-against average.

The Hatters have one of the A-Sun's better defenses, ranking fourth out of eight teams by allowing 11.54 goals per game. Stetson's offense, however, is seventh in goals per game with 7.56. Freshman Hallie Merz leads the Hatters in both goals (10) and assists (12).
