With Final Exams Over, Hatters Host Fort Wayne on Sunday

After a week-long break for final exams, Stetson men's basketball returns to action on Sunday when the Hatters host mid-major power Fort Wayne, 1 p.m., at Edmunds Center. The game can be seen on ESPN3 and the WatchESPN app.

The Hatters (6-6) haven't played since securing an impressive 87-78 win over visiting South Alabama on Dec. 10. Divine Myles scored 23 points, Derick Newton added 20 and 10 rebounds, and Angel Rivera dished 10 assists as the Hatters won their second straight game.

Stetson is 4-1 at home and the Hatters are off to their best start since 2008-09.

Fort Wayne (formerly IPFW) boats an 8-3 record and one of the more impressive mid-major wins of the season. The Mastodons knocked off then-No. 3 Indiana, 71-68, on Nov. 22. Since then Fort Wayne has won 5 of 6, including a 98-58 victory against Austin Peay on Dec. 10.

The Mastodons are coached by former Stetson assistant Jon Coffman, who spent eight seasons with the Hatters (2001-09).

Tickets for Sunday's game start at $7 and can be purchased on line at www.GoHatters.com or by calling the Stetson Athletic Ticket Office at (386) 738-HATS (4287).
