Hatters Continue ASUN Play Thursday, Host NJIT

Stetson men's basketball returns home to welcome Atlantic Sun Conference foe NJIT to the Edmunds Center, 7 p.m., Thursday. The game can be seen on ESPN3 and the WatchESPN app, and can be heard in Volusia County on WSBB AM 1230 and 1490.
 
The Hatters (7-12 overall, 0-3 ASUN) are seeking their first conference win of the season after suffering pair of losses last weekend at Lipscomb and Kennesaw State.
 
NJIT (9-10, 1-2) has won four of its last six games. The Highlanders feature guard Damon Lynn, who enters play ranked 13th in the NCAA in scoring at 21.9 points per game.
 
Thursday's game is a rematch of sorts of last year's ASUN Tournament quarterfinal matchup, an 82-67 win for the Hatters in Newark, N.J.

•The Hatters will play four of their next five games at home before finishing the season by playing five of their final seven on the road
•Senior forward Brian Pegg needs two points to become the 34th Hatter -- and second this season -- to reach 1,000 career points. Divine Myles joined the 1,000-point club in December.
•Sophomore Derick Newton (855) is also on pace to reach 1,000 career points this season
•Sophomore Leo Goodman started the season by missing his first 22 shots from 3-point range. He recovered slightly and followed that by going 9 for his next 36. But over his last four games he's regained the form that saw him shoot 39 percent (39-100) as a freshman, making 11 of 24 shots from the arc while averaging 14.0 points.
•With 106 assists in 18 games, Angel Rivera is on pace to break the program record for assists in a season (179, Terry Johnson, 1986-87).
