Hatters to Host Team Scotland in February

Stetson Lacrosse will kick off the 2017 season by hosting Team Scotland in an exhibition game on Feb. 12 at the Athletic Training Center. First draw is at 3 p.m.
 
The Hatters will officially open their season on Feb.16 when they host Fresno State. Head coach Christy Leach is looking forward to the opportunity to face international completion.
 
"We are excited to begin our season against Team Scotland," Leach said. "The high level of competition they will bring will prepare us well for our season. Plus, the international competition will be a unique experience for our players, which will expose them to international lacrosse."
 
Team Scotland will be sending its Senior Women's team to face the Hatters. Coached by Dave Simpson, the Scots own a No. 6 world ranking and are ranked 3rd in Europe.
 
The Athletic Training Center is located on East Minnesota Ave., between Amelia and Garfield Avenues. Admission to all lacrosse games is free.
