Stetson women's soccer closes out the non-conference portion of their schedule when the Hatters host UCF, 7 p.m., Sunday at the Athletic Training Center.
 
With the start of ASUN Conference play less than a week away, the Hatters (3-3-2) will look to continue to build momentum in the wake of last Sunday's 1-1 draw with Miami. Freshman Emily Lamas scored the game-tying goal in the 80^th minute, forcing the game into overtime.
 
Junior goalkeeper Emily Plotz continued her strong season by making seven saves against the Hurricanes. Plotz enters the weekend leading the ASUN Conference in saves (47) and save percentage (.855). She is fourth with a 0.95 goals-against average.
 
The Hatters begin conference play next weekend with contests at North Florida and Jacksonville.
 
The Golden Knights (2-3-1) are 2-1-1 in their last four games. The Knights suffered a 3-1 home loss to George Mason on Thursday.
 
Zandy Soree leads UCF with four goals and nine total points, while goalkeeper Vera Varishas has 2 shutouts and a 1.12 goals-against average.
 
News & Notes: Sunday's meeting with UCF will be the 21^st matchup between the schools … the Knights have won each of the previous meetings, including a 2-0 affair last year in Orlando … Stetson's next eight games will be against ASUN Conference opponents, including league newcomers North Alabama (Sept. 30) and Liberty (Oct. 14).
