Hatters Host Miami on Sunday

Stetson women's soccer returns home this weekend to face yet another stiff challenge when the Hatters welcome Miami to the Athletic Training Center for a 1 p.m., Sunday, kickoff. The game can be seen live on ESPN+.

The Hatters (3-3-1) enter Sunday's game after suffering a 2-0 loss on Thursday at LSU. Stetson goalkeeper Emily Plotz made a season-high nine saves but the Hatters couldn't muster much offense against the Tigers.

Stetson is still looking for consistent offensive output in the season's early going, as the Hatters have just six goals in seven games. Senior Hailey Williams leads the Hatters with two goals, while Lily Truong, Lindsey Parent, Kate Carter and Greta Watkins have each scored once.

Miami (3-3-1) settled for a tie with Jacksonville in its last outing. Gudrun Haralz leads the Hurricanes with three goals and two assists.

News & Notes: Sunday's game will be the 12^th meeting all-time between the Hatters and Hurricanes, with Miami holding a 10-1-0 edge in the series … Stetson's lone victory was a 2-1 win in Coral Gables during the 2005 season … Stetson's defense has allowed just two goals in the last 311 minutes of play … Emily Plotz leads all ASUN goalkeepers in saves (40), ranks second in save percentage (.851) and is third in goals-against average (0.97).
