Maricopa, AZ - Stetson finds themselves in 11th on the leader board after the first round of the National Golf Invitational at the Ak-Chin Southern Dunes Golf Club.
The Hatters shot a team total of 290 for a 2 over par result on the first day of the NGI to find themselves in eleventh place overall. Stetson is ten shots back of the overall leader Wyoming who is in first, with an eight under par effort during the first round.
Mason Quagliata finds himself in T3 overall in the individual standings with a four under par first round 68. Behind him in T32,
Matt Gauntlett who shot a one over par 73.
Javier Calles shot a two over par 74 to find himself in T43.Â
The final two Hatters
John Houchin and
Truman Keppy would shoot a 75 to place T49 on the individual leader board.
The second round of the National Golf Invitational starts on Saturday at 10:30 a.m. EST at the Ak-Chin Souther Dunes Golf Club. Stetson will begin their second round at 11:13 a.m. EST.Â
