DELAND, Fla. - Stetson's beach volleyball team earned the 2023 United States Marine Corps and the American Volleyball Coaches Association (USMC/AVCA) Team Academic Award. The team also earned the additional Team Academic Honor Roll distinction from the USMC/AVCA.
The award marks the 11th time in program history and the sixth consecutive year that the Hatters have earned the team academic award. The USMC/AVCA is awarded to the teams that maintain a year-long grade-point average of 3.3 or above on a 4.0 scale.
Stetson also received the USMC/AVCA Team Academic Honor Roll award, which is given to the teams who finish in the top 20% of GPAs for their division.
The Stetson beach volleyball team finished the season going 22-15 overall and advancing to the NCAA Championship for their fourth time. The Hatters also won their seventh ASUN title in school history.
