DELAND, Fla. - It's a big week for Hatter Nation, and Stetson Athletics is rolling out three special game promotions that blend competition, celebration and community impact. From milestone moments to heartfelt tributes, fans have plenty of reasons to head to campus and show their Stetson spirit.
Friday Night Spotlight: Celebrating Coach Lynn Bria's 300th Career Victory
The newly renovated Insight Credit Union Arena at Edmunds Center takes center stage Friday evening as the Stetson community gathers to honor Women's Basketball Head Coach Lynn Bria and her recent milestone—300 career wins.
Before tipoff against Trinity College at 6:30 p.m., fans are invited to a special pregame ceremony recognizing Coach Bria's achievement and her lasting impact on the program. The night also carries deeper meaning as Stetson works to raise awareness for Alzheimer's disease and support individuals and families affected by it.
Current Stetson students, faculty and staff get in free, while general admission tickets are only $3 for the public.
Honoring Service: Military Appreciation at Saturday's Football Game
On Saturday afternoon, Stetson Athletics will join forces with Veteran Services and the Student Veterans Organization to honor military members and their families during the Hatter football game against San Diego at 1 p.m.
The game will feature a variety of tributes dedicated to those who have served, creating a meaningful and memorable experience for veterans and active-duty military.
A specially designed Operation Hat Trick t-shirt and hat will be available for purchase through the Stetson Bookstore, with a portion of proceeds benefiting veterans in need. Through the athletic department's partnership with Vet Tix, veterans and their families can claim complimentary tickets while fans who are unable to attend the game can donate their tickets to registered Vet Tix members.
As always, students, faculty and staff receive free entry with a valid Stetson ID.
Continuing the Tribute: Military Appreciation at Men's Basketball
The day of recognition continues Saturday night as the men's basketball team tips off against Virginia Military Institute at 7 p.m. inside the Edmunds Center.
The same spirit of gratitude will carry through the evening, with additional activities designed to honor military members and their families. Fans who missed their chance earlier in the day can still pick up the Operation Hat Trick merchandise, supporting a good cause while showing their Hatter pride.
Admission perks remain the same—free for Stetson students, faculty and staff, and complimentary tickets for veterans and their families via Vet Tix.
With back-to-back events celebrating achievement, service and community, this week is the perfect opportunity for the Stetson family to come together. Whether you're honoring a coaching legend, supporting a meaningful cause, or recognizing those who have served, Go Hatters—we'll see you at the games!
