Doral, Fla. – The Stetson women's golf team wrapped up the opening day of the Pat Bradley Invitational in fifth place after two rounds at Trump National Golf Club's Red Tiger course. The Hatters posted team rounds of 314 and 299 for a 25-over-par total, sitting 11 strokes behind tournament leader Florida Gulf Coast heading into Tuesday's final round.
Sophomore Isaki Sakashita continued her strong play in Doral, pacing Stetson with a 3-over-par total (73–74) to finish the day tied for 11th in the 71-player field. Freshman Maggie Potash and senior Elizabeth Eberle followed closely behind at +7, while Ailsa Brannock sits at +9 and Filippa Jansson at +12. Competing as an individual, Anna Huettl ended the day at +14.
As a team, the Hatters recorded 13 birdies and a tournament-high 103 pars through two rounds. Sakashita's consistency led the way with 26 pars—the most of any player in the field—while Eberle added 24. Brannock topped the team in birdies with four on the day.
Under the guidance of Head Coach Teresa Brown, the Hatters will look to build on their steady second-round performance when play resumes Tuesday morning.
