Hatters Head to South Carolina for Edisto Island Invitational

DeLAND, Fla. — Stetson women's golf will close out its fall schedule this week with a trip to Edisto Beach, South Carolina, for the Edisto Island Invitational, hosted by the College of Charleston. The three-round tournament begins Sunday, Oct. 26, at The Plantation Course at Edisto, a par-71 layout measuring 5,980 yards.

The 14-team field features Charleston, Campbell, East Carolina, Charleston Southern, Elon, Radford, Georgia State, Wofford, The Citadel, Queens, Towson, Western Carolina, and Longwood. Monday's opening round will begin with a 9:00 a.m. shotgun start.

The Hatters enter the event coming off a championship performance at the Navy Fall Invitational, where they captured the team title by five strokes. Filippa Jansson led the way, finishing second individually and earning ASUN Golfer of the Week honors after firing a final-round 70 that matched the lowest score of the day. The performance marked her second top-three finish of the fall and helped Stetson notch its second top-three team result this season.

Stetson's lineup for the week will feature Anna Huettl, Filippa Jansson, Julieta Oviedo, Isaki Sakashita, and Elizabeth Eberle, while Ailsa Brannock will compete as an individual. Under Head Coach Teresa Brown, the Hatters will look to build on their recent momentum as they take on a strong field to close out the fall slate.

Live scoring for the Edisto Island Invitational will be available at this link.
