Hatters Hold Fourth After Strong Second Round at ASUN Championship

DOTHAN, Ala. — The Stetson women's golf team remained in fourth place after carding a 2-under 286 in the second round of the 2026 ASUN Women's Golf Championship at Dothan Country Club.

The Hatters improved their position with one of the better rounds of the day and now sit at 581 (296-286) through 36 holes. Stetson is five strokes back of third-place Central Arkansas and holds a 12-shot cushion over fifth-place Lipscomb heading into the final round.

Isaki Sakashita led the charge with a standout performance, firing a 6-under 66 in the second round to climb into third place individually at 5-under-par for the tournament. Her round marked one of the lowest of the day and positioned her firmly in contention entering the final 18 holes.

Ailsa Brannock also turned in a strong round, shooting a 1-under 71 to move into 13th place at 1-over overall. Julieta Oviedo remains tied for 17th after posting a 1-over 73 in round two, bringing her to 3-over for the tournament.

Filippa Jansson sits tied for 32nd at 7-over after a second-round 76, while Bridget Butler, who entered the lineup in place of Elizabeth Eberle, also carded a 76 and is currently in 59th.

As a team, Stetson has totaled 26 birdies and 107 pars through two rounds, both ranking fifth among the field. Sakashita and Brannock lead the Hatters with seven birdies apiece, while Sakashita has recorded a team-best 24 pars, followed closely by Brannock with 23.

Stetson will tee off for the final round at 10:00 a.m. (ET) alongside Lipscomb and Austin Peay, starting on hole No. 1.
