DOTHAN, Ala. — The Stetson women's golf team closed out a strong showing at the 2026 ASUN Women's Golf Championship, finishing tied for second at 7-over-par following a final round even-par performance at Dothan Country Club.
The Hatters posted the best team round of the day with an even-par 288, finishing at 871 (296-286-288) and tying Florida Gulf Coast for second place. Despite the late push, Stetson was unable to overcome its opening-round deficit, but secured a runner-up finish for the second consecutive season.
Isaki Sakashita led the way for the Hatters, turning in one of the strongest performances of the tournament. Sakashita posted rounds of 73-66-71 (210) to finish at 1-over-par, earning runner-up honors and a spot on the ASUN All-Tournament Team. Her final two rounds were the best combined scores in the field, highlighted by a 6-under 66 in round two and an eagle during her second round surge.
Ailsa Brannock also delivered a top-10 performance, finishing tied for eighth at 1-over-par (74-71-72). Brannock capped her tournament with an even-par final round, highlighted by a steady performance in which she carded pars on all 18 holes.
Filippa Jansson finished strong with a 3-under 69 in the final round — one of the lowest rounds of the day — to climb into a tie for 12th at 5-over-par (75-77-69). Julieta Oviedo added a tie for 18th finish at 8-over-par (74-73-77).
Bridget Butler rounded out the Hatters lineup in the final round, finishing 59th.
As a team, Stetson recorded 38 birdies and 167 pars across the three rounds, ranking fourth and second in the field, respectively. The Hatters led the field in par-3 scoring (3.12 average, +7), ranked third on par-4s (4.19, +29), and sixth on par-5s (4.88, -7).
Individually, Sakashita and Jansson each recorded nine birdies, while Sakashita and Brannock ranked among the top three in pars with 41 and 40, respectively.
