WILMINGTON, N.C. -- The Stetson University men's golf team returns to competition Monday and Tuesday at the Seahawk Intercollegiate, hosted by UNC Wilmington on the Nicklaus Course at the Country Club of Landfall.
Stetson, which has claimed team championships in two of its three spring tournaments, joins a 15-team field that includes Davidson, Duke, Florida Atlantic, George Washington, Georgia State, Jacksonville, James Madison, North Florida, Richmond, Toledo, host UNC Wilmington, VCU, Wofford, and Xavier.
The field will play 36 holes on Monday, beginning with an 8:45 a.m. shotgun start with a final round at the same time on Tuesday morning. Each round will be on the 7,030-yard, par 72 Nicklaus Course (Ocean-Marsh).
The Hatters, ranked 68th in this week's Clippd Scoreboard NCAA Division I rankings, will be represented by Simon Engman, Jackson Hicks, Gaspar Glaudas, Matthis Lefèvre and Rasmus Ronnberg. The top four scores at the end of each round count toward the team total. Freshman Thanattasorn Supinraj will be competing as an individual with his scores not counting toward the team totals.
Stetson has claimed team titles three times this season, including two of its three events during the spring, and has finished among the top five in seven of eight tournaments.
Graduate Transfer Lefèvre has three individual titles to his credit this season and leads the team with a 70.3 scoring average. Fellow French countryman Glaudas, the defending ASUN Conference individual champion, and Engman are close behind with identical 72.0 stroke averages. Engman has performed well this spring, finishing among the top 15 individuals in each of his last three events – including a share of 9th place at the Sam Ryder Intercollegiate.
The Nicklaus Course, designed by Jack Nicklaus, opened in 1990 and is located along the Intracoastal Waterway near Wilmington, a coastal community has a history that spans more than four centuries. The private course features rolling oak and pine lined fairways, strategic sand and grass bunkering, Bermuda grass in the fairways and round and smooth, undulating Bent Grass greens. The course also features water on 15 of its 18 holes.
The Seahawk Intercollegiate was established in 2010, following seven years as part of the Landfall Tradition Tournament that includes past winners such as PGA Tour winners Dustin Johnson, Patrick Reed and Wesley Bryan. FAU's Nashawn Tyson claimed medalist honors in 2025 with a 16-under par 197, while UNC Wilmington claimed team honors at 15-under par. Last year's event took place at Cape Fear Country Club.
Following the Seahawk Intercollegiate, Stetson concludes its spring regular season April 6-7 at the Gile-Spratley Collegiate hosted by Liberty University at Independence Golf Club in Richmond, Va. The annual ASUN Championship is scheduled for April 21-23 at Kinderlou Forest Golf Club in Valdosta, Ga.
