VALDOSTA, Ga. -- Freshman Thanattasorn Supinraj matched the best round of his collegiate career and the Stetson men's golf team made the biggest move up the leaderboard Tuesday in the second round of the 2026 ASUN Conference Championships at Kinderlou Forest Golf Club.
The Hatters posted a tournament-best round of 9-under par to climb three spots in the 12-team field and move into second place through 36 holes of the 54-hole event. Stetson sits at 10-under overall, two strokes behind leader FGCU entering Wednesday's final round. Lipscomb is in third place at 5-under par.
The field returns to 7,517-yard, par 72 Kinderlou Forest for the tournament's final round tomorrow with tee times beginning at 8 a.m. Stetson is scheduled to start at 8:50 a.m. and is paired with golfers from FGCU and Lipscomb.
Stetson, which leads the field in par 4 and par 5 scoring as well as total birdies over the first 36 holes, will be looking for its first ASUN Conference title since 1990. The Hatters finished runners-up at last year's event, also hosted at Kinderlou Forest, by just one stroke behind Central Arkansas. Stetson's Gaspar Glaudas claimed medalist honors last season by three strokes.
Supinraj enters tomorrow's final round in a tie for fifth place in the individual field following rounds of 71-68 for a 5-under par 139. FGCU's Sebastian Gamboa leads the medalist race at 10-under par, while Patton Samuels of Austin Peay and Anders Larson of Eastern Kentucky sit two strokes back.
All five Stetson golfers turned in rounds under par in today's second round and enter tomorrow among the top-20 in the individual standings.
A native of Udon Thani, Thailand, Supinraj registered a near-flawless round with five birdies, 11 pars and just one bogey. Among his highlights were 30-foot and 20-foot birdie putts on the front en route to a 4-under par 32 over the first nine holes.
Jackson Hicks and Simon Engman share 14th place at 2-under par. Engman shot a 2-under par 70 to follow yesterday's even par round, while Hicks turned in his second straight 1-under par 71.
Glaudas made Stetson's biggest move up the leaderboard, jumping 11 spots, to move into a tie for 16th place at 1-under par. Following yesterday's 1-over par 73, he shot a 2-under 70 today.
Matthis Lefèvre also made a strong move today, improving by nine spots in the standings to share 18th place at even par. He leads the field in par 5 scoring at 6-under par with a scoring average of 4.25.
