DeLand, Fla. -- The Stetson women's golf team has broken into the top 100 nationally.
This is a huge step up from last year when the team was ranked 183rd. Now the Hatters are ranked 95th in the nation, thanks to strong performances by Ashley Kozlowski, Danielle Jackson and Lauren Darnell.
Kozlowski is leading her young team, finishing first in the Lady Falcon Invitational and helping her team to a third place finish in that tournament. Kozlowski is now ranked 62nd in Division I, with an average score of 74.00, after two tournament appearances.
Freshman Danielle Jackson and Lauren Darnell are not far behind, putting up average scores of 76.50 and 78.75, after two tournament appearances.
The Hatters tee off again October 16-17 at the Nova Southeastern Tournament in Palm Beach Gardens, Fla.
