DeLand, Fla. ? The Stetson men's golf team picked up its third dual match victory in the last week with a narrow 293-296 decision over visiting Seton Hall at Victoria Hills Country Club on Wednesday. Junior Tommy Parker (Palm Beach, Fla.) and sophomore Dave McAndrew (Barrington, R.I.) each shot under par to lead the Hatters.
Parker shot two under-par 70 and McAndrew carded a 71 for Stetson. McAndrew has shot under par in all three of the team's dual match wins this season. Freshmen Gabe Costa (Tequesta, Fla.) and Michael Stewart (Edgewater, Fla.) each shot 76 to round out the scoring pack. Freshman Matt Pitts (Orlando, Fla.) also participated for the Hatters, shooting 79 (+7).
David Sampson carded the low round of the day with a 69 for Seton Hall while Colin Van Es shot 74 and John Zur put up a 76. The final scorer for the Pirates was J.C. Cardamone, who shot 77.
The Hatters head to Spartanburg, S.C. for the Wofford Invitational Monday-Tuesday, March 31-April 1. The tournament will be the final regular season action for Stetson before the Atlantic Sun conference championship, which will be held Mon.-Wed., April 21-23 in Kennesaw, Ga.
