Hatters Break Team and Individual Records at FAU Fall Invitational

Erikah Neger shoots five-under par for the tournament




Boca Raton, Fla. -- The Stetson women's golf team completed a historic two days at the FAU Fall Invitational at Osprey Point Golf Club Tuesday.  The Hatters broke the school two-round team record with a score of 583, while sophomore Erikah Neger broke the school two-round individual record with a five-under par 139.

After shooting a career-best 69 on Monday, Neger shot a two-under par 70 on Tuesday to finish tied for fifth in the tournament.  She made eight birdies overall and has now posted three consecutive rounds below par.

The previous school two-round record of 141 was shared by Alexandria Buelow and Shelburne.  

In addition, senior Carolin Schart shot a tournament score of -2 142 (71-71), which now ties for the fourth-lowest two-round score in school history.  Schart converted seven birdies in the two rounds and finished the tournament in 10th place.

Paige Kemp earned a top-20 finish as she tied for 18th place with a 148.  She shot a season-best 73 on Tuesday.  Also, Sarah May tied for 29th (154) and Eilidh Watson placed 33rd (164).

The Hatters shot 295 on Tuesday and finished in fifth place overall.  Stetson shattered the previous school two-round record of 599.

The Hatters will return to action Oct. 30-31 at the USF Intercollegiate.
