BRASELTON, Ga. – Less wind and warmer temperatures on Monday led to the much better scoring in the second round of the 2019 ASUN Conference Women's Golf Championship at The Legends Course at Chateau Elan.
Four of five Stetson players posted improved scores in the second round as the Hatters improved as a team, posting a 312.
Junior

Lauer is still holding to a top 10 position in the field, but is now tied for seventh.
Kennesaw State opened up a 19-stroke advantage on the field following the second round. Leading the charge for the Owls was Second Team All-Conference member Medy Thavong who fired a four-under par 69 to take control of the individual leaderboard by five strokes.
Thavong's round included four birdies and an eagle from just off the fairway on No. 9. The senior from Thailand reached six-under par after a birdie on the 11th hole before bogies on 13 & 15 moved her back to four-under. Her round of 69 is tied for the fourth-best second round score in championship history.
As a team, KSU finished the round with a 290 (-2) for an improvement of 19 strokes from yesterday. The Owls finished two strokes away from tying the low 18-hole score against par, which was set by KSU in 2012's second round. Charlotte Charrayre contributed an even par 73 for KSU, while the remaining three of Clara Aveling, Roanne Tomlinson & Chloe Thornton all carded one-over par 74.
FGCU moved past North Florida into second place as after a 301 (+9) today as FGCU shot 16 strokes better than Sunday. UNF had a 313 on Monday and it third, 11 shots in front of Stetson.
