As the spring portion of the 2025-26 schedule approaches, Stetson women's golf has remained active during the winter break, with several Hatters gaining valuable competitive experience in tournaments across Florida and abroad.
Sophomore Isaki Sakashita and freshman Maggie Potash opened the break by competing at the Citrus Trail Invitational from December 28–31 at Sun 'n Lake Golf & Country Club's Deer Run Course in Sebring, Florida. Sakashita delivered a strong four-round performance, finishing eighth overall at nine-over par. She set the tone with a 71 in the opening round before posting scores of 76, 75 and 75 to close the event with 197 total strokes, recording six birdies and an impressive 51 pars. Potash finished 25th in the field at 24-over par with a four-round total of 312, carding rounds of 76, 77, 82 and 77 while tallying six birdies and 38 pars.
Anna Huettl represented the Hatters at the Orlando International Amateur from January 4–6 at Mission Resort + Club in Howey-in-the-Hills, Florida. Competing on the El Campeón and Las Colinas courses, Huettl posted rounds of 77 and 81 for a two-round total of 158, finishing at 15-over par.
Senior Ailsa Brannock took her game overseas, competing in the South American Amateur Open in Argentina from January 8–11. Battling a 66-player international field, Brannock finished 32nd after four rounds, improving each day with scores of 84, 77, 75 and 74 to close at 22-over par. She recorded eight birdies during the championship, including three on the back nine of the third round.
Sakashita continued her strong winter stretch at the 100th Annual South Atlantic Women's Amateur Championship, commonly known as the SALLY, held January 7–10 at Oceanside Country Club in Ormond Beach, Florida. She tied for 14th overall with a four-round total of 289, highlighted by a standout third-round 66. Sakashita finished the championship at one-over par with rounds of 75, 73, 66 and 75, collecting 16 birdies—including seven in the third round—and making par 44 times throughout the event.
With the winter slate complete, the Hatters now turn their attention to the spring season, which begins at the Sea Best Intercollegiate, hosted by Jacksonville, on January 26–27 at San Jose Country Club in Jacksonville, Florida.
