EDISTO ISLAND, S.C. — The Stetson women's golf team concluded the fall season at the Edisto Island Invitational on Wednesday at The Plantation Course at Edisto.
The Hatters finished fifth out of 14 teams, just one stroke behind Longwood and three strokes ahead of Campbell, totaling 310-302-297 (+57) for the tournament. Charleston captured the team title at +19, followed by Elon (+28), East Carolina (+42), and Longwood (+56).
Individually, senior Julieta Oviedo led Stetson with a tied 8th-place finish, carding 75-74-71 (+7). Isaki Sakashita and Filippa Jansson finished tied for 11th and 38th, respectively, both recording nine birdies. Elizabeth Eberle added a 80-78-81 (+26) for 51st, and Anna Huettl posted 84-80-76 (+27) for 53rd. Competing individually, Ailsa Brannock finished tied for 32nd at +17 (75-75-75).
The Hatters totaled 30 birdies as a team, while Oviedo paced the group with 38 pars. 
Stetson now closes out its fall schedule and will return for the spring season at the Sea Best Intercollegiate, hosted by Jacksonville, January 26–27 at San Jose Country Club in Jacksonville, Fla.
