MARICOPA, Ariz. — The Stetson women's golf team wrapped up the 2025-26 season Sunday with a seventh-place finish at the 2026 Women's National Golf Invitational at Ak-Chin Southern Dunes Golf Club.
The Hatters finished the 54-hole event at 38-over par after carding a 12-over 300 during the final round.
Bridget Butler led the way for Stetson with one of the best rounds of the tournament on Sunday, firing a 3-under par 69 to climb into a tie for fourth overall. Butler matched the lowest round score of the final day and finished the tournament at 1-over par with rounds of 73-75-69—217.
Butler totaled 11 birdies across the tournament while also recording 32 pars.
Filippa Jansson finished tied for 19th overall at 9-over par after closing the tournament with a 2-over 74. Jansson posted rounds of 73-78-74—225 and tied for the third-most pars in the field with 37.
Elizabeth Eberle placed tied for 25th at 12-over par after rounds of 75-75-78—228. Eberle matched Butler with 32 pars during the tournament while adding seven birdies.
Freshman Maggie Potash finished tied for 43rd at 20-over par after carding rounds of 80-77-79—236, while Anna Huettl placed 45th overall at 23-over par with rounds of 77-77-85—239.
As a team, the Hatters totaled 158 pars, the fourth-most in the tournament field, while their 33 birdies also tied for fourth overall.
The NGI appearance capped one of the strongest seasons in program history for Stetson under head coach Teresa Brown. The Hatters captured four tournament victories during the year, finished runner-up at the ASUN Championship, and produced the program's first NCAA Regional qualifier under Brown in ASUN Golfer of the Year Isaki Sakashita.
Stetson also placed four golfers on the All-ASUN teams this season, including First Team selection Sakashita and Second Team honorees Jansson, Ailsa Brannock and Julieta Oviedo.
