Hatters Remain in Top Five Entering Final Round of NGI

MARICOPA, Ariz. —  The Stetson women's golf team remains in the top five entering the final round of the 2026 Women's National Golf Invitational after posting a 16-over par 304 in Saturday's second round at Ak-Chin Southern Dunes Golf Club.

The Hatters sit tied for fifth overall at 26-over par (298-304—602) alongside ASUN rival Lipscomb and Mercer. Stetson trails fourth-place Bowling Green by three strokes and sits four shots behind Rutgers for third. Wyoming continues to lead the field, with Denver in second place.

Bridget Butler leads the Hatters through 36 holes, sitting tied for 13th overall at 4-over par after following her opening-round 73 with a 3-over 75 on Saturday. Butler enters the final round with a 148 total and also leads the team with six birdies through two rounds.

Elizabeth Eberle sits tied for 19th at 6-over par after carding her second straight 75. Eberle highlighted the day with an even-par 36 on the front nine and now has five birdies and 22 pars during the tournament.

Filippa Jansson is tied for 24th at 7-over par after shooting a 78 in round two, while Anna Huettl holds sole possession of 33rd place at 10-over par after posting another 77.

Freshman Maggie Potash climbed into a tie for 40th after improving by three strokes from Friday's opening round, carding a 5-over 77 to sit at 13-over par overall.

As a team, Stetson is tied with Wyoming for the third-most pars in the tournament with 108 while totaling 22 birdies through two rounds. Jansson leads the Hatters with 24 pars, followed by Eberle with 22, Butler and Potash with 21 each, and Huettl with 20.

Stetson will be paired with Bowling Green and Mercer during Sunday's final round. Tee times begin at 8:05 a.m. local time on hole one with Potash, followed by Huettl, Jansson, Eberle and Butler, who will tee off last for the Hatters at 8:41 a.m.
