The Stetson men's golf team opened play on Monday in the J.T. Poston Invitational and the Country Club of Sapphire Valley with a solid round of 284.
Â
Like the rest of the field, the Hatters were only able to get in a few holes of play in the second round through on-again, off-again rain showers before play was finally suspended.
Â
The field of 14 teams will return to the course to resume play on Tuesday morning with the hope of completing the second round before rolling right into the third. That plan may have to be adjusted, however, by a forecast that is calling for a 60 to 70 percent chance of thunderstorms.

Stetson senior
