Hatters Host FGCU in Regular Season Finale

Friday is Senior Night at the ATC

Stetson women's soccer will host FGCU to close out the regular season, 7 p.m., Friday at the Athletic Training Center.

Friday is also senior night for the Hatters. Erin McRae, Delaney Peery and Lily Truong will each be honored for their time at Stetson during pregame festivities.

Stetson (1-5-1, 0-4-1 ASUN) enters play this weekend following a 1-0 setback to ASUN-leading UNF. The Hatters produced a strong defensive effort in the loss, keeping the dangerous UNF offense off the board for over 70 minutes of play.

The Hatters have outshot their opponents in five of seven games this season. Stetson ranks just outside the top three of shots per game in the conference with 11.9.

The Hatter defense has allowed 10.3 shots per game this season. That combined number would rank Hatter opponents seventh on the ASUN leaderboard.

In their last meeting, the Eagles (5-2-2, 3-2-0 ASUN) defeated the Hatters by a score of 3-0. Despite a scoreless tie at the half, FGCU's Louise Lillback scored twice after the break to lead the Eagles.

FGCU ranks third in the ASUN with 15 goals and second with 0.74 goals allowed per match. The Eagles are firing 17 shots per game – the highest mark in the conference.
