Hatters Place 11th at the Joe Feaganes Marshall Invite

Truman Keppy makes five birdies on Tuesday.

Huntington, W.V. -- The Stetson men's golf team shot a final round score of 301 to earn an 11th place finish out of 15 teams Tuesday at the Joe Feaganes Marshall Invite at Guyan Golf and Country Club.

The Hatters posted a three-day score of 890 (289-300-301) and placed ahead of Northern Kentucky, Robert Morris, Cleveland State and Xavier in the team standings.

Junior Mason Quagliata led the Hatters and tied for 33rd overall with a three-round score of 221 (72-72-77). Bradley Goldstein and Matthew Feste each tied for 47th with scores of 224 (Goldstein: 71-76-77; Feste: 72-75-77), Truman Keppy tied for 60th with a score of 225 (76-77-72), and Ian Ball tied for 66th with a score of 226 (74-77-75). Keppy made five birdies and shot a team-low 72 on Tuesday.

Tiago Barni, competing as an individual, tied for 89th with a score of 237 (79-77-81).

Stetson made 35 birdies and one eagle as a team during the tournament. Marshall won the 15-team field with a three-round score of 845.

The Hatters will return to action on Oct. 10 at the Bubba Barnett Intercollegiate.
