Philadelphia, Pa. – Stetson University redshirt junior
Ryan Peters closed out the 2022 PGA Works Collegiate Championship on Wednesday with a final round 74 to finish 10
th in the men's individual division.
Playing at the Union League Liberty Hill Course, Peters started his final round with a birdie on his first hole, the par 4 10
th, before carding back-to-back bogeys. He straightened things back out to put seven consecutive pars, before a double-bogey on the par 4 second hole.
He closed out his round with six more pars plus a birdie on the par 3 fourth to finish with his best score of the event, a two-over par 74.
Peters' three-round total of 12-over par 227 left him in 10
th place overall.
"Ryan played well today," Hatters' coach
Danny Forshey said. "To finish 10
th in a national tournament like this is great accomplishment for him at this stage of his career."
Delaware's Sahasawat Ariyachatvakin took home the tournament title by posting a final round score of 68, giving him a three-round score of three-under par 211, eight shots better than his closest competitor.
Howard University took home the Division I team title with a one-shot victory over Chicago State.
