The varsity eight would make it to the second semi, where they would place fourth lowering their time from the heat race to a time of 7:03.69.
After all of the racing concluded for the day, Stetson will have a couple teams compete in Sunday's finals. Stetson will compete in the second varsity eight petite final, which is set to start Sunday at 10:58 a.m. The Hatters will also compete in the varsity eight petite final set for 12:18 p.m. tomorrow.
"We had some tough races today as we continue to learn about ourselves. The four had a good race and simply weren't fast enough to progress to tomorrow's finals. Both eights had solid races and ended up in the petite finals for tomorrow. We're excited to see what the team is capable of tomorrow,' said Stetson head coach
Jamie Francis.
