CORAL GABLES, FL - The Stetson women's golf team finished 10th in the Hurricane Invitational. Two Hatters finish in the top 20 with Filippa Jansson finishing in 10th as an individual and Isaki Sakashita earning 17th.

After round one, all Hatters were in the top 50 Grace Smith and Julieta Oviedo were T31 with a 75. Isaki Sakashita finished T42 with a 77, Elizabeth Eberle and Ailsa Brannock would tie at 48th with a 78. Filippa Jansson was the lowest scoring Hatter as an individual with a 74.

In round two, Stetson as a team was one shot better with a 304 total. Smith (T31) and Sakashita (T43) finished with a 75, while Brannock (T47) was right behind with a 76. Oviedo (46) shot a 78 and Eberle (T56) an 82. Jansson shot an impressive 4 under in the second round to finish the day in 3rd overall on the leader board.

The third round saw the Hatters improve again on their team total as they shot the lowest of the three rounds with a 295. Sakashita shot the low round with a 5 under par 67 to finish T17. Oviedo finished with a 74 to end in T41. Smith shot a 76 to finish in 40th, Brannock shot a final round of 78 to finish T52. Eberle shot an 81 to finish T59 on the tournament. Jansson finished with a 75 to put her in T10 on the leader board.

Stetson finished 3rd best with an average of 3.18 on par 3's. Smith finished 3rd in par 3 average with a 2.92. Sakashita and Jansson tied for second in most birdies for the tournament with 12 each.

The Hurricane Invitational concludes the fall season for the Hatters as the team will return to action in 2025 with the Sea Best Intercollegiate taking place January 27-28th in Jacksonville, Florida.
