Men's Golf Concludes Regular Season with T5 Finish at Tiger Intercollegiate

Led by Dominic Clemons' Runner-Up Finish

COLUMBIA, MO - The Stetson University men's golf team competed in the Tiger Intercollegiate at The Club at Old Hawthorne from Monday, April 8 to Tuesday, April 9, finishing tied for fifth. The tournament, which was hosted by the University of Missouri, featured a field of 18 teams including ranked Chattanooga. It was the final tournament of the 2023-24 regular season before the team takes on the ASUN Championship.

Stetson finished two under par as a team, tallying round scores of 280 and 282 on day one before posting a 288 in round three for a total of 850.

Dominic Clemons once again led the Hatters as he finished as runner-up in the tournament with a 11 under par. Clemons began play scorching hot as he tied the all-time single round low score of 64 in the first round. He then followed up with a 70 and 68 over the final two rounds to finish with a total score of 202. It was his seventh finish inside the Top-3 this season.

Truman Keppy emerged as the next Stetson finisher, placing T42nd with a total of 217. Keppy's strong third round, recording a 72, led a four over par performance.

Javier Calles Roman followed close behind with a final of 218. He shot five over par, tying him at 48th after posting round scores of 75, 69 and 74.

John Houchin and Matt Gauntlett rounded out the effort with T63 and T73 finishes, respectively.

Houchin recorded a low of 71 on his way to a 221 total while Gauntlett shot a low of 70 and finished with a 223.

The Hatters now have their eyes set on the ASUN Championship from Apr 21 (Sun) Apr 23 (Tue) at the RTJ at Highland Oaks in Dothan, Ala.
