PONTE VEDRA, FL - The Stetson women's golf team was victorious at the Marsh Landing Country Club on Tuesday as they won The Match at the Marsh. The Hatters were able to defeat the Dolphins 3-2 in the finals of match play. The field consisted of Jacksonville, Palm Beach Atlantic, North Alabama, Seminole State, Bethune-Cookman, Nova Southeastern, Embry-Riddle and Stetson.

On Monday, Stetson defeated Embry-Riddle with a score of 5-0 to advance into the winner's bracket. Monday afternoon saw the Hatters defeat the Sharks from Nova Southeastern by a score of 3-2 advancing them into the a finals match up against Jacksonville on Tuesday. Stetson was able to defeat ASUN rival Jacksonville on Tuesday in the finals 3-2 to capture the victory.
The event was match play match play format, where competition was head-to-head with an opponent on each hole with the goal of trying to win as many holes as possible. There were three matches where the winning team advanced to next round, while the losing team played a consolation match.
