Valdosta, GA – The Stetson Hatters came up just short of claiming the 2025 ASUN Championship on Thursday at Kinderlou Forest Golf Club, finishing as tournament runner-up at an impressive 25-under par, just one stroke behind champions Central Arkansas.
Individually, Gaspar Glaudas delivered a standout performance, finishing at 11-under to win medalist honors and secure an automatic bid to the NCAA Regionals. Glaudas becomes the first Hatter to win the ASUN individual title since Sam Ryder in 2012.
The runner-up finish marks the program's best showing under Head Coach Danny Forshey, and its highest placement at the ASUN Championship since 1991.
Stetson opened strong with a 9-under performance in Round 1, followed by a tournament second-best 11-under in Round 2, powered by 23 birdies. The Hatters closed with a solid 5-under in the final round.
Glaudas, a native of Sainte-Tulle, France, posted rounds of 70, 67, and 68 for a tournament total of 205. He recorded just one bogey across all 54 holes, on the third hole of Round 1, while making 12 birdies and 41 pars, the second-most in the field. His 67 in Round 2 tied for the third-lowest single-round score of the tournament.
Simon Engman finished just outside the top 10 in 13th at 4-under (70, 70, 72), while Jackson Hicks placed 19th at 3-under, improving each day after a 73 in Round 1 followed by back-to-back 70s.
Rasmus Ronnberg finished tied for 24th at 2-under (71, 70, 73), highlighted by 13 birdies, third-most in the tournament, including six in Round 2. Gabriel Lindahl finished 26th at 1-under, with rounds of 68, 72, and 75. His opening-round 68 was the second-best for the team.
As a team, Stetson led the field in Par 4 scoring, averaging 3.91 for a total of 14-under. The Hatters also recorded the most birdies (58), the third-most pars (179), and the fewest bogeys (29) of any team in the field.
