Hatters Set to Host Colorado State Thursday Night

DELAND, Fla. – Fresh off a season-opening win, the Stetson Hatters women's soccer team will be back in action Thursday night when they host Colorado State at 7:00 p.m. at the Athletic Training Center.

The Hatters (1-0) opened their 2025 campaign with a 1-0 victory over Gardner-Webb, highlighted by freshman Brooke Voorhees scoring directly from a corner kick in the 51st minute. Stetson's backline held firm the rest of the way, limiting the Bulldogs to just one shot on target to secure the clean sheet.

Colorado State (1-0) will make its first road trip of the season to DeLand after defeating Utah Tech, 2-1, in Fort Collins. Sophomore forward Kaja Dionne opened the scoring for the Rams, while senior Olivia Fout added the eventual game-winner.

The Rams are coming off a strong 2024 season in which they went 12-5-4 overall, including a 6-3 mark away from home. They were picked to finish third in the Mountain West Preseason Coaches' Poll with 111 points and one first-place vote. Midfielders Mia Casey and Michaela McGowan, along with Dionne, were all tabbed as players to watch by the conference this year.

Kickoff is set for 7:00 p.m. at the ATC. Fans can follow live stats at GoHatters.com or watch the action live on ESPN+.
