Sakashita Battles Through Delays in Round Two of NCAA Regional

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. —Stetson sophomore Isaki Sakashita continued play Tuesday at the NCAA Tallahassee Regional, battling through multiple weather delays to complete round two at Seminole Legacy Golf Club.

After tee times were delayed by two hours to begin the day, play was later suspended twice during the round — first for 2 hours and 38 minutes and again for 45 minutes.

Competing as an individual, Sakashita carded an 8-over par 80 in the second round and sits tied for 47th entering Wednesday's final round. The ASUN Golfer of the Year recorded two birdies and seven pars during the day and now has five birdies and 19 pars through 36 holes of competition.

Sakashita will tee off for the final round at 9:50 a.m. Wednesday alongside Vanessa Zhang of Harvard and Carmen Fletcher of Alabama State, both competing as individuals.
