Pilar Astigarraga Harper Earns CSC Academic All-America Third Team Honors

DeLand, Fla. — Stetson women's tennis standout Pilar Astigarraga Harper has been named to the CSC Academic All-America® Third Team, earning national recognition for her excellence both on the court and in the classroom.

Astigarraga Harper becomes one of the nation's top student-athletes honored by CSC after previously earning Academic All-District® recognition and advancing to the national ballot. She was one of just 18 women's tennis student-athletes nationwide selected as a CSC Academic All-America® honoree, with only six players earning recognition on each of the First, Second, and Third Teams. Astigarraga Harper is the 13th Stetson student-athlete to earn Academic All-America® honors and just the second women's tennis player in program history to receive the distinction, joining former Hatter Taryn Lynn. The Academic All-America® program celebrates student-athletes who excel athletically while maintaining outstanding academic performance.

A senior from Spain, Astigarraga Harper earned Second Team All-ASUN honors after posting a 10-8 singles record during the 2025-26 campaign. She competed primarily at the top of the lineup, going 7-4 at No. 1 singles and 3-4 at No. 2 singles against some of the conference's strongest competition.

In doubles play, Astigarraga Harper finished the season with a 9-7 overall record. She went 2-6 at the No. 2 position alongside Dana Baidaulet before forming one of Stetson's most effective pairings with Clelia Lombardi, posting a 7-1 mark at No. 3 doubles.

Off the court, Astigarraga Harper excelled academically as a cellular and molecular biology major, earning ASUN All-Academic Team honors in addition to her CSC recognition.

The CSC Academic All-America® program recognizes the nation's elite student-athletes for their combined athletic and academic achievements. Student-athletes must first be named Academic All-District® before advancing to the national ballot for Academic All-America® consideration.
