DeLand, Fla. - The 70th-ranked Stetson men's tennis team (15-3, 6-1 Atlantic Sun) earned its sixth consecutive victory with a 7-0 shutout of visiting Kennesaw State (5-12, 0-7 A-Sun) on Thursday at the Mandy Stoll Tennis Center.  Sophomores Cesare Gallo (Portogruaro, Italy) and Maksim Levanovich (Minsk, Belarus) extended their singles winning streaks to 14 and 11 matches, respectively.

Gallo and Levanovich have recorded a combined singles record of 32-3 and 14-0 against A-Sun foes this spring; today against the Owls Gallo beat Tyler Mills 6-2, 6-2 at #3 singles while Levanovich won by the same score at the top of the lineup against Simon Janik.

All six singles matches went to the Hatters in straight sets with no Stetson player dropping more than six total games.  Sophomore Njal Stene (Oslo, Norway) earned a flawless 6-0, 6-0 victory over Elliot Kahler at the #6 position.

Stetson hosts Mercer at 10 a.m. Saturday in the opening act of an A-Sun tennis doubleheader at the Mandy Stoll Tennis Center.  The Hatter and Bear women's squads face off at 2 p.m. with a Senior Day ceremony for the five seniors on the Stetson women's team also on the agenda.  The men's team has a home doubleheader Monday at Niagara and Oberlin that will serve as its regular season home finale.
